About Pauline
Pauline has gained knowledge and experience in
many different fields. She
studied at Worcester College of Further Education, taking qualifications in
Business Studies, Psychology and Sociology.
This fuelled a deep
seated interest in people and how their lives can be negatively affected by
their experiences. She
recognised a strong desire within herself to help people overcome their
difficulties.
As a practitioner of Counselling and
Hypnotherapy, Pauline has been able to achieve this objective, and resolve
very deep seated problems for a great many people, enabling them to go on to
enjoy happier and more fulfilling lives.
Counselling
Pauline trained as a counsellor at Worcester College of Further Education.
Her training has been primarily in Integrative Counselling, which
incorporates aspects of Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Gestalt.
Her practice is
adapted to meet the needs of each individual client and the issues they
would like to work with. This is all built on a firm foundation of
respect for the individual.
Alongside her
academic training, Pauline gained practical experience and specialist
training with both Cruse Bereavement Care, and the Worcestershire Rape &
Sexual Abuse Support Centre, working as a volunteer before going into
private practice in 2002. Pauline receives professional supervision on
a regular basis.
Hypnotherapy
Over a three year period Pauline trained as a hypnotherapist with the London
College of Clinical Hypnosis at the University of Central England in
Birmingham. She has been in private practice since
2004, treating patients with a wide variety of problems and achieving
an extremely high success rate.
Many clients
have written to Pauline thanking her for helping them to make the changes
they wanted, and improving their lives significantly (see ‘Testimonials’)
Continuing Professional Development
Pauline has continued her professional development by training in Emotional
Freedom Techniques (EFT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and EMDR, all
of which are valuable tools that are used within Pauline's therapy.
She has also studied Anger Management, Migraine Resolution, and Alleviating
Depression.
